10328×7760 – A 10K Timelapse Demo shot in Rio de Janeiro

February 15, 2015

This is what happens when you shoot a Timelapse video with an 80 Megapixel camera. The result is pretty impressive to say the least!

Each shot is comprised of hundreds individual still images, each weighing in at a whopping 80 megapixels. Each individual raw frame measures 10328×7760 pixels.

Would be interesting to know how long it took to render those shots.

This article by Brian Krogsgard (Post Status) came just in the exact right moment to motivate me even more to finally reveal what we’ve been working on.

Like I said, I interviewed about a dozen photographers from different backgrounds. None of those interviewed felt particularly satisfied with their web workflows. There is room in this market. My question is: who will fulfill their needs?

Looks like we’re onto something. More about our little project will follow this week.

Stay tuned!

It was a lot of fun, i learned a thing or two and i met some great new people! All in all, i couldn’t find better words than these:

A big thank you and a round of applause to the organizers, speakers, volunteers and attendees who made this whole thing possible!

Pressgram Logo Sketches

There was a lot of rumble when Instagram changed their licensing somewhen last year. I never used Instagram for myself, but i know that a lot of creative people left frustrated because of that. Some of them completely stopped sharing images on social networks, some where moving (back) to flickr or to 500px, which might be somewhat better in terms of licensing, but still are third party solution.

I thought there has to be a way to solve this with WordPress and searched for Apps/Plugins etc. but i couldn’t find what i was looking for. If there only was an app, kind of like Instagram or flickr, which would let us connect and share our images directly to our own WordPress Installations, instead of a third party service. It would let us build our own Photo Stream, our own Instagrams, completely self-controlled and not depending on someone else. It would be awesome.
